The Bible is filled with faith stories of Bible Heroes! Bible Heroes loved God, had a relationship with Him, obeyed Him, and served people.

List 3 things David did while he was taking care of the sheep.

Do you think it took a lot of courage and strength to be a shepherd?

How was David a hero when he was just a young shepherd boy?

David was a hero because he was a man after God’s own heart.

Exercise 1:

Think of a time when David had big faith in God! Think of a time you had big faith in God!

Exercise 2: In Psalms we read that David had a thankful heart to God.

What are you thankful for? Tell God, I’m thankful for…. (Think of at least 10)

Read Psalm 117 & Psalm 150

Exercise 3: Take a few minutes to pray. Ask God to help you have a heart full of faith and thankfulness.

Exercise 4:

Take some time to read these verses and memorize them:

1 Samuel 16:7 “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Acts 13:22 “I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.

Something fun to do!! Make frozen marbles at home!

If you’re not sure how to make them, check out our experiment in this week’s Grow Ministry Video.

May Holy Spirit remind you & help you to be a hero this week by living a life that honours God! AMEN
