The Bible is filled with faith stories of Bible Heroes! Bible Heroes loved God, had a relationship with Him, obeyed Him, and served people.

Moses asked Joshua, Caleb, and 10 others to go and spy out the Promised Land. What kinds of things did the spies see there? 10 of the spies came back and said they were too afraid to go into the Promised Land. What did Joshua and Caleb say?

Joshua and Caleb believed that with God’s help they could overcome their enemies.

Joshua’s first MISSION as the Israelites leader was to CONQUER THE CITY OF JERICHO! The walls were so thick and tall that it would take a miracle to break them down. What are some tools you think Joshua could have used to complete this special assignment?

Joshua prepared his soldiers for fighting a battle. But God had a different plan. What did God tell Joshua they should do instead of fighting? MARCH AROUND THE CITY!!!!

How many times did they march around the city holding trumpets? The 7th time they walked around the city…… They blew their trumpets and shouted! And what happened??? THE WALLS CAME CRASHING DOWN!

Something fun to do: Quietly walk around your house (inside) 6 times & on the 7th time, pretend to make the sound of a trumpet & shout as you walk!

Exercise 1: Joshua was obedient to God. In the Bible, we see how to be obedient to God. One way to obey God is to obey your parents. List 5 things you can do to obey your parents.

Exercise 2: Take a few minutes to pray to God. Ask God to help you be obedient to Him by obeying the Bible and the good things your parents ask you to do.

Exercise 3: Take some time to read this verse and memorize it. Deuteronomy 5:33 Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper…….
